This Privacy Policy explains how SinFin collects, uses, stores and shares personal information when you use the SinFin Platform.

Who This Policy Covers

This Policy applies to people using SinFin as fans, athletes, parents, participants, organization representatives, administrators, partners, customers, prospective customers and other Platform users.

Depending on the relevant relationship and applicable law, SinFin may act as a controller of personal information, while organizations using SinFin may also act as independent controllers of information they collect or use for their own purposes.

Transaction information

Where commerce is enabled, we may process information such as:

  • payment-provider references

  • invoices or commercial documents

Full payment-card information may be collected directly by the approved payment provider rather than stored by SinFin.

SinFin may create a neutral public organization presence using appropriate public information before the organization claims or manages that presence.

  • provide sports, organization and athlete experiences
  • operate Follow and engagement features
  • manage organization claims
  • provide programmes and memberships

  • provide customer and operational support
  • detect fraud, abuse and security incidents
  • maintain Platform integrity
  • send important service communications
  • improve Platform functionality
  • measure performance and usage
  • comply with legal obligations
  • establish, exercise or defend legal rights.

Public Information

Certain information on SinFin is intentionally public.

Examples may include:

  • public organization profiles
  • public athlete profiles where appropriately published
  • teams and squads
  • fixtures
  • public stories
  • organization branding
  • public products
  • public programmes
  • partners or sponsors
  • other information intended for a public sports presence.

Do not provide information through public fields that you do not want publicly displayed.

Private account, financial and administrative information is not intended to become public merely because an organization has a public profile.

Organization Administrators

If you interact with an organization through SinFin, appropriately authorized organization administrators may have access to information necessary to operate that relationship.

For example, an organization may need access to information relating to:

  • programme registration
  • membership
  • purchases
  • sporting participation
  • staff access
  • organization engagement.

Organizations are responsible for using information they access through SinFin lawfully and in accordance with their own obligations.

Organizations

Where necessary for the services you use or relationships you establish with them.

Service providers

Providers that help operate services such as:

  • hosting
  • infrastructure
  • authentication
  • email
  • analytics
  • security
  • media storage
  • customer support
  • payment processing.

They should only receive information reasonably necessary for the relevant service.

Payment providers

Where payments are enabled, payment information may be shared with or collected by approved payment providers to process, verify, refund or reconcile transactions.

SinFin partners

Where you or an organization requests, authorizes or participates in a relationship involving a Partner Network provider, relevant information may be shared to facilitate that relationship.

SinFin does not treat Partner Network listing alone as permission to disclose unrelated private user information.

Legal and safety disclosures

We may disclose information where reasonably necessary to:

  • comply with law
  • respond to lawful requests
  • protect rights or safety
  • investigate fraud or security incidents
  • enforce agreements.

Corporate transactions

If SinFin undergoes a merger, acquisition, restructuring or transfer of relevant business assets, information may be transferred subject to appropriate legal protections.

We Do Not Sell Personal Information to Advertisers

SinFin does not sell personal information to advertisers in exchange for money.

SinFin is designed as a global sports platform.

Deleting a personal account does not automatically delete organizations, transactions or canonical sporting records.

SinFin expects organizations using the Platform in connection with minors to comply with applicable parental-consent, safeguarding and privacy obligations.

Where consent from a parent, guardian or authorized person is legally required, the relevant user or organization must obtain that consent before providing personal information to SinFin.

SinFin may restrict, remove or request additional authorization for information relating to young users where reasonably necessary.

Cookies and Similar Technologies

SinFin may use cookies and similar technologies for authentication, security, preferences, performance and analytics.
